DESCRIPTION AND CONSTRUCTION:


A simple hotplate type gelation timer. It consists of a 100mm hotplate with an indentation in the center for sample holding and a programmable,variable heating rate digital control system, to increase the temperature very gradually, so as to determine the exact gelation temperature.The actual gelation is determined by poking the heated sample with a wooden stick and observing the temperature at which it begins to set.
